Glutamine for gut health, Ulcer Pain and Sugar Cravings.

Picture a time when you felt the most famished you’ve ever been in your life (got that feeling?) Add a sucker punch and an inferno. That about sums up the feeling of a Stomach ulcer- a sharp, debilitating pain right under your diaphragm.

*ALWAYS seek the advice and guidance of your medical practitioner before introducing supplementation to your diet as well as to make a clear medical diagnosis *

I’ve personally dealt with this problem for more than 2 decades. It comes and goes, sometimes I won’t feel it for weeks, other times more frequently. If I’m really anxious or allow too much time to laps before my next meal, it flares up and makes working with my clients very difficult.

I have found ways of managing it though, through my eating patterns, quality of food and stress management.

➡Another very helpful tool has been the introduction of L-Glutamine powder which I’ve been using for about 3 years now.

‘Glutamine directly supports gut health and function in three key aspects:
1) it has a positive impact on sustaining the balance of the gut microbiome,
2) it increases the expression of tight junction proteins and the integrity of the intestinal lining, and
3) it helps to minimize the inflammatory response in situations of gut mucosal irritation.’
Along with numerous other benefits – FOR ME, this is the most prevalent.

This is simply ONE exert from a study, but there are multiple and honestly, I personally feel the difference when I use L-Glutamine. It’s a pesky pain to have so trust me, I’ve tried many natural approaches

Suggested Intake:  A serving of LG (1 Tablespoon) in 100g plain Yoghurt, Full cream milk or Cream in the evenings. (This also helps curb sugar cravings!)

It’s quite personal and a sensitive topic, but I’m hoping this information helps you if you are dealing with the same ailment.
